Graham is One!

We are so excited to celebrate Graham's first birthday in just a few weeks with our sweet friends, Leslie and Craig. You might remember I did maternity pictures for them, and now this cute boy has been charming us all for almost a year... I can't believe how fast the time goes.

Here's a quick preview!

More previews coming soon... I'm up to my ears in post-processing! :)

Playing Catch Up!

It's been a wonderful and BUSY summer. Bobby has been working hard on his classes for his MBA, and Nola and I have been working hard on some projects around the house and taking lots of photos! I haven't updated the old blog too frequently, but I've had opportunity to get some great shots and spend time with some fun (and beautiful!) people.

Here are a few collages of shoots I did this summer ...

Some graduation pictures of Jordan. Can't believe he's in college!

Aurora's first birthday and family pictures for the Seases - such a gorgeous family!

Some family photos of the Turners. I could NOT get over this little guy's rolls. He is too precious, and his parents are so sweet as well!

There are more on the way... a first birthday party, a wedding, and some more maternity photos. PLUS - mini-shoots are just a couple weeks away, and I've got a couple shoots in between now and then! I'm a busy girl these days, and I'm editing up a storm (I'm surprised my computer hasn't started smoking). Check back soon for more images.

I have just a couple slots left in my mini-shoot coming up in a few weeks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some gorgeous fall weather and colorful leaves. Let me know if you'd like to take one of the slots I still have left or if you'd like to schedule a full shoot sometime before we head into cold weather! :) Hope to hear from you soon!

Kate and Carey + 1!

First off, about us.... We are in the hospital with Nola again - by now anyone who reads this blog has probably seen it on facebook or heard through the grapevine! But she somehow contracted a bacterial infection that got around her immune system and into her blood stream. Poor babe has been poked and prodded way too many times... she's on her third IV of the week and we're praying it stays in as long as possible to prevent any more needle sticks of her tiny little veins. She has several days left of a 10 day course of IV antibiotics, so we'll be spending the majority of next week at Columbus Regional on the peds hall. The nurses are great and we've been showered with more love and care (and goodies!) than we know what to do with... pretty sure I'm going to gain ten pounds from all the delicious snacks that keep being delivered (that combined with the fact that I'm confined with her to a tiny hall and hospital room, so not much exercise is happening!). Anyway, things are as good as could be expected, and we're just thankful that the she manifested symptoms so early in the infection. We caught it early and now just to have to make sure it's completely out of her system before we can go home. So that's what's going on with us... I'm emailing out updates every few days (as we have anything to share) so let me know if you'd like to be on that list!

On a happier note -- I have new images to share!

Carey and Kate are some good friends of ours from church, and they sweetly asked if I'd take some photographs of them and their precious daughter, Charlotte! Charlotte and Nola are buddies in the nursery, and Nola has been pointing at the screen when she's seen me editing these pictures! Without further ado, meet this adorable family of three!

appleworks

i am so very excited about fall this year... not sure why, but every day that is cool and just a little bit crisp, i just get more and more excited! i can't wait for the leaves to change - and this will be the first fall we've lived in our house, so it'll be fun to see all the changes in our garden. i love the warm days and cool nights...we've slept with the windows open for weeks now, which is awesome (and cheaper than AC)!

all that to say - i am looking forward to apple cider and pumpkin patches, etc. etc. there is so much to do in indiana in the fall, so many festivals and cool things going on. last weekend, a small fraction of our not-so-small group remedy went to appleworks, an apple orchard in the middle of nowhere indiana. we got lost on the way there, but we found it, thanks to the awesome map-reading skills of angel and l'erin!

here are some pictures of our sunday afternoon...

and my favorite of the day....
